What is SmartAnim?
SmartAnim is a new advanced rigging and animation toolkit for Autodesk 3ds Max. This powerful tool expands the current set of controllers, solvers, helpers, and rigging tools available within 3ds Max, allowing animators to create more complex and sophisticated animations than ever before.
With its intuitive interface and comprehensive set of features, SmartAnim enables users to rig and animate characters and objects with ease, providing greater control and precision over the animation process. Whether working on a film, game, or other type of animation project, SmartAnim is a valuable addition to any animator's toolkit.
SmartAnim includes:

The Rig System
This component allows users to create a wide variety of advanced rigs with just a few parameters and a template of points. It can create an open system that consists of independent components such as bones, helpers, controllers, and solvers that can be modified, replaced or removed as per the user's requirements. There are different types of rigs available, such as biped, quadruped, centaur, insect, and more.
The rig's limbs can have IKFK solvers, reverse foot parameters, an IK spine, twist bones and UI panels with picker controls. Additionally the user can create a bone-based face rig using a similar process.
New Inverse Kinematic Solvers
SmartAnim includes the versatile IKFK Solver, which seamlessly integrates inverse and forward kinematics within the same hierarchy. This feature is especially beneficial for animating character limbs, as it enables smooth transitions between modes and allows animators to interact with both modes interactively. SmartAnim also includes the new CurveIK Solver, useful for creating rigs with bendy limbs for cartoony animations.
User Interface Tools
Take your character rigging skills to the next level with the powerful user interface tools available in SmartAnim, including the Control Helper, UI Panel, and Pose Kit.
New Controllers
SmartAnim's new controllers for 3ds Max are a game-changer! Create dynamic and robust rigs for next-level animations. Use Aim Constraint for twist bones, Float Connection to connect controllers and tracks, Float Expose TM to expose non-keyed object values, Parent Constraint for flexible parenting, Rig Control for offset transformations and mirroring, Stretch Constraint and Rotation Space for precise control over object transformations and rotations, and much more!.
