Step Float (Float Controller)

The Step Float controller allows animated float values without anykind of interpolation, the animation is "stepped" between the keyframes.

You can use this controllers in animate parameters that are not suposed to have interpolated animation, like the index selection of a list. There are no additional properties accessible for Static controllers. You can just assign them in the respective track.
